Candle and Cicadas
Haiku
Cicadas like the
Candle blaze ending smoulder,
brief, to ash Tundra.
Origami Shadows
The quiet beginnings of the night
unfold
origami shadows crease
horizontal lines.
Float
I might just float into nothingness
Like air.
Duo Coffee / Swamp
I drank, while
Your inkblot reservoir unfills
Drink, drunk soil
Volcanic nerve
Fossils gossip
Dip lips, sup your reservoir.
Over Rocks
I might just let things flow around me for awhile
Like water over rocks.
The Act
When we say a poem out loud
it is a physical act of rebellion.
Longitude
I’m talking longitude not shortitude.
Barb
Barb, barb, against the wind
Barb wire coiled throat
Barb wire voice like strings
Levitate
I want my mind to levitate
Pass clouds of storms
Pass star dust descending
Levitate…

Australian author Melinda Jane – The Poet Mj has a sharp, perceptive witness of all that she sees and possesses, with a wide and constant explorative imagination. With the wind patterning in the dancing stalks of grass, this poet senses poetical voice. As classical music sweeps in waves, this poet draws on musical voice with saturated senses, refracted voice; it does disturb the air like Wi-Fi.
