Jane SpokenWord’s performances represent the spoken word as it is meant to be experienced, raw, uncensored and thought provoking. Her performances are eclectic and range from solo reads, to slams, duo’s, trios, and various band formations. Her collaborations include Mayo Yamaguchi of the No Theatre, Avant-Garde Maestro Cecil Taylor, Founder of the Nuyorican Poets Cafe Miguel Algarin, Beat Poet John Sinclair, her son, hip hop musician/producer ‘Nastee’, and her partner in all things Albey on Bass. Spanning a full spectrum of venues, her performances include various festivals, libraries, clubs, art Galleries, slam lounges, street corners and living rooms everywhere.

Bassist & Composer Albey Balgochian’s dedication to the experimental arts,
his improvisations are the conversation of life’s evolutionary journey. His experience includes a full spectrum of artists and venues including: House band bassist for the original House of Blues in Cambridge, Berklee summer teaching sessions and Berklee Bass day with Rolling Stones bassist Darryl Jones, a member of Cecil Taylor’s trio and big band, they were nominated NYC Jazz Record “best concert of the year” ’05, ’09 and ’16 for his last performance at the Whitney museum. Recordings with poets include founder of the Nuyorican Poets Café Miguel Algarin, NYC Jazz poet Steve Dalachinsky and Beat poet John Sinclair.
